Receiver of an award in a Completion of Superior Taste in Brussels Two Golden Stars for the “Olive Oil of Pelion”

The “Olive Oil of Pelion” by the Volioti family of Ano Lechonia has achieved a great international distinction, since the family business’ extra virgin olive oil has won two Golden Stars in the International Competition of Superior Taste that took place in Brussels.

The competition was organized by the International Taste and Quality Institute (iTQi) that is based in Brussels, a leading organization that aims to taste and promote foods and drinks of superior taste all over the world.

This past April, the “Olive Oil of Pelion” company participated in the competition with its extra virgin olive oil, which the judges tasted and decided to award it with two golden stars for its taste and quality.

The awards ceremony took place in a special event, held on the 10th and 11th of June in Brussels. The organizers gave the Two Golden Stars Award to the owner of the “Olive Oil of Pelion” company, Mr. Apostolos Voliotis, and his wife, Marianthi.

“It is a great moment, a big success for our company to win two golden stars for superior taste and quality from one of the largest international competitions” stated Mr. Apostolos Voliotis and he, also, added that “this award verifies the top quality olive oil that we produce and the hard work that we have done. The consecutive awards that we receive, along with our openness towards the foreign markets and the trust that more and more costumers exhibit towards our products, is the outcome of our efforts over the years.”

The success of this company from the Region of Magnesia is big and it acquires and international significance, since different type of olive oils, from a variety of countries, participate in this annual competition, while the judges are selected from the 16 most prestigious culinary organizations and food connoisseurs in Europe.
